Responsibilities
- Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities within the transportation and civil engineering sectors, focusing on state and local government contracts, particularly with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage teaming agreements with industry partners to strengthen ICE's competitive positioning in the Virginia market.
- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with ICE's recruiting team to identify, vet, and recommend highly qualified CEI inspectors and project staff to support ongoing and future projects.
- Quality Assurance: Provide guidance on best practices in construction engineering and inspection, drawing on decades of experience in leadership and quality management roles.
- Market Insights: Serve as a subject matter expert on the Virginia market, offering insights into industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Virginia (Required)
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) (Preferred)
- Minimum of 30 years of experience in transportation and civil engineering, with at least 20 years in leadership roles
- Proven experience with VDOT projects, including management of design-build initiatives, staff augmentation contracts, and construction quality assurance
- Strong professional network within the Virginia civil engineering community
