Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Assistant is responsible for assisting the Nuclear Medicine department with starting IV’s, providing patient care, and administering radiopharmaceuticals. This position will provide patient care at Avera McKennan, NCH, AHH, and various outreach sites as needed.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma and one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Radiation safety training completed yearly as provided by the Radiation or Associate Radiation Safety Officer.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
- Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
- Signature of NRC Confirmatory Order Communication required.
Work Schedule
- Ability to work various shifts as scheduled; 64 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
