JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Job Summary:
- Provides wellness educational and special programs that require the expertise of a registered nurse.

Education:
- Position requires a bachelors degree in nursing or other health care related field. Masters preferred.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- RN - Registered Nurse Certification; Unexpired Maryland State licensure
- Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.

Experience:
- Position requires 3-5 years experience in the healthcare field. Minimum two (2) years teaching experience, to include curriculum development, coordination, and evaluation; and health ministry and community health work, preferred.

Other Requirements:
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
- Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
- Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.
- Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements including Microsoft Office Products—Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.
- May require the ability to drive as part of routine job duties.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
