Registered Vascular Technician - Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic - Full-Time, Days

Work location: 3144 Horizon Road, Suite 220, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Travel: 50 % to surrounding clinics as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided )

Here's What You Need

• Associates Degree Related field (preferred)
• Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred)
• 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) and
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required)
• Minimum 1 year experience with abi's, cerebral, abdominal, upper/lower peripheral venous and arterial imaging (strongly preferred)
• Experience with US guided RFA's (preferred).
• BLS certification (strongly preferred)
• Reliable transportation required
• Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
• Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have good computer skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process to include:
• Will perform diagnostic bilateral/ unilateral carotid, arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.
• Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols.
• Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedures.
• Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.
• Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
• Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.
• Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and order supplies when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned
