About This Position

NisAir is seeking a full-time Service HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing a variety of HVAC equipment. The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, assessment, and repair of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for clients. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting components such as air handlers, heat pumps, furnaces, and air conditioning systems. Proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance is essential for success in this position.

What You'll Do:
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioning units, and heat pumps
  • Perform preventive maintenance and regular servicing of equipment
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements
  • Prepare and submit detailed service reports

What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a HVAC Service Technician
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
  • Working knowledge of boiler systems
  • Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
  • Professional Certification (e.g., an EPA Certification) is a definite plus
