About This Position

Job: Barista in a college retail setting

Location: Roberts Wesleyan University, North Chili, NY

Salary: Starting at $16 and up, negotiable depending on experience

We are looking for a strong culinary professional to join our team here at Roberts Wesleyan University in North Chili. High volume barista experience is required. We offer a strong work and family life balance. Typically you are off most Holidays.

Metz Culinary Management is growing, and we have openings for Rock Star Baristas that have a passion for making hand crafted hot and cold coffee & tea beverages. We are seeking energetic team players with a winning attitude that deliver exceptional customer service to all guests in a fun and busy college setting.

Requirements:

•Previous Barista experience required

•Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.

•SERV Safe Certification

•Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time

•Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis

•Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills

Responsibilities:

•This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day

•Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs

•Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions

•Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items

•Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations

•Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing

•Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments

•Complete weekly inventory and order list

•Clean and maintain all equipment continuously

•Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
