About This Position
Renown Health and University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are recruiting a Board Eligible/Board Certified a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Vascular Surgery to join the Vascular Surgery team.
Minimum of 2 years’ Vascular Surgery Assist experience preferred. RNFA Certification is required for all NPs.
The Vascular Surgery APP will provide first assistance on all surgeries, as well as evaluate, consult, and round on patients in the hospital. Providers work in the outpatient clinic for post-operative follow-up and see new consult patients.
Renown's providers foster the teaching of residents and medical students from The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Providers also have access to an established Research Department which provides support to coordinate clinical trials or take the opportunity to conduct research on the university campus.
Renown Regional is a state-of-the-art Level II Trauma Center 800 bed acute care facility with comprehensive and outpatient services and 24-hour emergency care and houses the Heart and Vascular institute
Position Highlights
- Monday – Friday, 7 am to 5 pm
- 1st Assist Surgeries – must be 1st assist certified
- Daily rounds in the hospital
- Outpatient Clinic- new consults and post op appointments
- 1:4 call shared with other APPs
- Epic EMR
