About This Position
Moffitt Cancer Center is searching for an clinical investigator medical oncologist to join a high- volume GU practice with close collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues in surgical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, pathology, radiology, and supportive care medicine. The candidate would provide patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group and serve as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position spans the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education. The candidate would be joining a Professor of RO who has been on staff for 16 years and an Associate Professor who has been on staff for 10 years.
The candidate would work closely with a GU disease site team, which is a rapidly growing department at Moffitt with a robust clinical trial portfolio in GU cancer immunotherapy, cell therapy and adaptive therapy. More than 140 pts were enrolled in clinical trial over the past years and over 80% of the trials are early phase trials. Some of the investigator initiated studies like adaptive therapy and CAR T trial are developed through close collaborations with Moffitt’s research institute.
The position is a full-time clinical investigator at Moffitt Cancer Center with assignment to the GU program within the Medical Oncology Department. The position requires a variety of clinical and technical skills including coordination, work up, diagnosis, treatment, management and follow up of GU oncology patients. We have one multidisciplinary tumor board weekly that encompasses 5 different disease sites including prostate, bladder, kidney, testis, and penile. The GU program also closely collaborates with colleagues in the Senior Adult Oncology program and with multidisciplinary team members at the ambulatory clinics that are in the vicinity of the main campus location.
Qualifications:
Education/Licensure:
- MD or Equivalent
- Board certified (or eligible) in Hematology/Oncology
- Requires successful completion of an approved Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology
- Florida Medical License
- DEA License
- ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff
