Position Summary:
The postdoctoral researcher will be part of a research team working on a biomimetic physical therapy system to augment and accelerate the physical rehabilitation of stroke patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to participate in the project’s work and lead a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers performing the following major tasks:

  1. Product design and improvement, exploring larger scale manufacturing.
  2. Theoretical modeling and simulation of the biomimetic system.
  3. Data analysis.
  4. Assisting the PI and the sponsor in grant writing for other funding of this project.
  5. Supervise and participate in the system assembly and experimentation.
Participate in weekly meetings and help to prepare reports and presentations for project sponsor.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A PhD in Mechanical Engineering required; successful PhD thesis defense with pending graduation will be considered
  • Experience with theoretical modelling and data analysis using Machine Learning is required.
