About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Laborers to join our team in Coushatta, Louisiana. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, including but not limited to digging trenches, mixing and pouring concrete, and operating heavy machinery. Your work will contribute to the successful completion of various sawmill cleanups , ensuring that they are completed on time and safely. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and hardworking individual who is committed to safety and quality workmanship.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects
• Experience working on construction sites
• Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating heavy machinery
• Certification in a trade or technical skill related to construction

Responsibilities:

• Performing manual labor tasks on the sawmill, such as physical clean up tasks, sweeping , mopping , dusting, walking or climbing up and down stairs, and operating heavy machinery or equipment
• Assisting with cleanup of in different working areas or departments
• Following safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Collaborating with other team members to complete job tasks a needed
• Maintaining and keeping up with all tools and equipment

Skills:

As a Laborer, you will need to have strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor tasks. You will also need to be able to follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Additionally, you should have experience working on construction sites and knowledge of basic construction techniques. Preferred qualifications include experience operating heavy machinery and certification in a trade or technical skill related to construction. These skills will be used daily to contribute to the successful completion of various construction projects.

Work Environment Manufacturing Plant Physical Demands

• The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise levels are moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Lifting and physical activity is required for this position, must be able to move boards and wood pieces. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
