About This Position
GENERAL PURPOSE
Glenwoodie Golf Course is looking for a positive person with an outgoing personality to assist the golf operation of our fast paced, our 18-hole par 72 course golf club. We are looking for a friendly, energetic person who loves the game or are eager to learn the game of golf with the flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends, mornings and evenings as needed. As the Pro Shop Attendant, you may be one of the first points of contact with our members and guests.
Under supervision from the General Manager and Head Golf Professional, the Pro Shop Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily golf operations. The Pro Shop Attendant must have the ability to work independently as well as with others.
The hourly rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Provide excellent customer service skills to all members and guests
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, officials, and all members and guests of Glenwoodie and or Village of Glenwood.
· Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the facility.
· Answer all telephone calls and direct all messages.
· Communicate effectively with the Superintendent to ensure daily course conditions and proper golf cart regulations are followed.
· Collaborate with outside staff and inform all members and guests of all cart or course activities, policies, rules and regulations.
· Inspect golfers thoroughly to ensure that proper course attire is worn (no sleeveless shirts and no metal spikes)
· Maintain and update the course tee sheet.
· Perform cashier duties to collect fees accurately at the Pro shop.
· Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
· Maintain a safe and clean Pro Shop in an appealing and orderly display of merchandise.
· Responsible for processing customer reservations for guests and members of the golf course
· Provides customer service to arriving guests and members to help expedite check-in process
· Provide professional golf services for the golfing public within the clubhouse and on the course.
· Work closely with other staff members to ensure proper procedures are followed on the course, in the bar and grill, and in the banquet facility.
· Collect and properly file deposits and payments for outings and banquets
· Perform other golf related duties as assigned
Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Completion of High School diploma
· Knowledge of the game of golf and golf terminology preferred
· Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· Perform basic computer skills and learning ability to accurately operate the Foreup software, as well as other programs including but not limited to, Microsoft Word and Excel
· Ability to multi-task and must have strong critical thinking skills
· Must have good problem solving and eloquent conflict resolution skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily working indoors, but occasionally in the outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet. Work performed is subject to interruptions.
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED
Electric golf car is used frequently. Other equipment used includes range ball dispenser, computer, two-way radio and copy machine.
