Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our construction team. The worksite is in Pensacola. The Electrician will oversee and coordinate the work of electrical team members, ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of electrical systems in compliance with industry standards. This role requires collaboration with Electrical Leadman, project managers and other team members to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and keeps clean work area for installation of equipment
  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Analyze proper fastening system for equipment support
  • Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specification
  • Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
  • Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams/blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Installs all solar related components AC and DC electric per plans
  • Installs Solar modules and racking per plans

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education

  • High School Degree or GED

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Vocational School or approved apprenticeship training

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
  • State-wide travel required
