About This Position
Job Description
At Snead Eye Group (Fort Myers Eye Surgery Center / Naples Eye Surgery Center), an established surgical center, we are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Circulator, ideally with fast-paced ASC experience. We are also willing to train the right candidate.
The Circulating Nurse works with all members of our healthcare team to provide the highest level of patient care in our surgical unit operating room. Mileage reimbursement is paid at $19.06 for travel to our Naples location each week and for each surgical day worked there.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide effective and efficient supervisory activities necessary for patient care.
Coordinate patient care activities with medical staff and healthcare team members for continuity of care.
Assist nursing staff in identifying and solving nursing care problems.
Assist with nursing care during emergencies.
Perform thorough preoperative patient assessments required by the outpatient setting.
Develop and implement individualized plans for patient care and document pre- and post-operative care per Facility policy.
Provide comfort, reassurance, and education to patients and families throughout the perioperative experience.
Deliver safe and individualized nursing care during the immediate postoperative period.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers, demonstrating respect, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
Maintain and promote professional competence through continuing education and participation in meetings, in-services, and quality management activities.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
Current and active Florida RN licensure (required).
Experience in pre/post-operative, operative, and/or critical care areas preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

High-level visual and auditory acuity required.
Ability to move quickly in response to physician/patient needs, stand for long periods (8+ hours if needed), reach overhead and low levels, and exert force up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Patient care activities may require exertion up to 30 lbs. constantly, 40 lbs. occasionally, and up to 100 lbs. rarely.

Our surgical schedule is directly tied to patient census:
In-season (October–December, March–May): Weekly hours average 35–40 hours.
Off-season (May–September): Weekly hours average 20–32 hours.
Schedules are built around case volume and may fluctuate, but we make every effort to keep shifts consistent and predictable for our team.
Work Location: In person – Fort Myers, FL 33907 (required)
Relocation: Must relocate before starting if not already local.
