MD: Medical Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton Genetic Clinic is seeking a medical assistant. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate strong work ethics, critical thinking skills and organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility , processes excellent communication skills. The MA will have solid knowledge of computers and have the initiative to work independently. The MA will provide nursing care in the physicians' office. The job responsibilities include but not limited to:assessing the health status of the patient. Collaborates with the genetic team. Will triage the patient care, answering /returning phone calls, working with insurance companies, filing, data entry, the ability to take vital signs, scheduling procedures and tests. You will be required to work Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00pm.
