Staff Accountant at HySafe – Union Grove, Wisconsin

HySafe is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join as a Staff Accountant, leading key accounting and reporting activities. This is a growth role for the right candidate - you will report to the Finance Leader, with a pathway to developing into a senior accounting role for the department.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• Lead month-end close, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepaids.
• Reconcile high-volume, multi-entity expense reports on Ramp, ensuring accurate coding and policy compliance.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts and project records.
• Ensure timely, accurate milestone billing across construction and post-install service projects.
• Oversee and execute Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Maintain and update accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Produce ad-hoc financial reports from BC365 to support analysis and decisions.
• Manage sales tax compliance using Avalara within BC365.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Identify ERP improvements and coordinate feature updates.
• Document SOPs and communicate process changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure efficient, accurate accounting processes and industry-leading customer experience.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a construction environment is highly preferred.
• Highly proficient in ERP software, with knowledge of BC365, a plus.
• Proficient in various accounting software, with knowledge of Ramp, Avalara, and Coupa a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on results.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a highly decentralized operation.
• Local to Union Grove, WI or willing to relocate.
