Description:

The HR Generalist serves as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors, providing hands-on support across employee relations, benefits, performance management, and leave administration. This role is essential to maintaining a responsive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture.

This position is well-suited for an HR professional who enjoys balancing employee advocacy with organizational accountability.

Reports to: Senior Director of HR & Organizational Development

Travel: Requires travel to satellite offices in Jaffrey and Peterborough

Remote: Opportunities can be available after satisfactorily completing introductory period

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as first-line support for employee relations concerns
  • Administer benefits enrollment and employee education
  • Coordinate leave management (FMLA, ADA, NH PFML)
  • Support performance management and corrective action processes
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Ensure confidential handling of employee information under HIPAA standards
  • Provide backup support for recruiting and HR operations
Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • Associates Degree in Human Resources or 3–5 years of HR generalist experience
  • Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
  • Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings preferred
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple locations
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • SHRM certification preferred
