The Clinical Supervisor/Therapist provides trauma-informed clinical leadership and direct therapeutic services to young children and families impacted by violence and trauma. This role oversees day-to-day behavioral health programming, ensures fidelity to evidence-based models (including Child–Parent Psychotherapy), and provides reflective supervision to clinical staff.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with grant-funded program requirements, contract deliverables, and state and federal documentation standards, while carrying a reduced caseload (approximately 30% direct service / 70% supervision and administrative oversight).

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of behavioral and mental health services, ensuring trauma-informed, high-quality care for participants and families.
  • Maintain a 30/70 balance of direct services and clinical/administrative supervision.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor program components, outreach efforts, and quality assurance activities to meet contract benchmarks.
  • Provide weekly reflective clinical supervision to staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Supervise screenings, diagnostic assessments, and service planning aligned with evidence-based models (e.g., CPP, TF-CBT, CPT, and group therapy).
  • Ensure all clinical services adhere to agency policies, contractual requirements, and state and federal guidelines.
  • Deliver clinical consultation, staff training, and guidance on intervention strategies, agency protocols, customer service, and de-escalation practices.
  • Assess staff competencies and complete performance evaluations in accordance with agency standards.
  • Conduct participant and family assessments and collaborate on individualized service and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care with parents, caregivers, DCFS, case managers, consultants, and community partners to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care.
  • Oversee accurate documentation, data tracking, chart reviews, and approval of clinical records to ensure compliance with state, federal, and Medicaid standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, community partnerships, and required professional development activities.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
  • Master's degree and active clinical license (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical experience with families; at least 2 years providing reflective supervision of therapists required.
  • Experience serving young children (0–6) and families impacted by trauma strongly preferred.
  • Formal training in Child–Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) required; advanced CPP training preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, early childhood development, family systems, and documentation compliance in grant-funded environments.
  • Experience with Medicaid billing, performance-based contracts, and audit preparation preferred.
Salary range: $75,000- 85,000/year.
This is a full-time exempt position.
