Heavy Equipment Operator at Earth Systems LLC – Tioga, North Dakota

Operator with CDL– Environmental & Remediation

North Dakota (Tioga / Watford City)

Full-Time | Hourly | 40–60 HRS/WEEK | Overtime Expected

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a backhoe on environmental remediation and oilfield projects
• Operate dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, skid steers & more
• Load and haul materials and equipment using company trucks and trailers
• Transport equipment and materials across state lines as required using heavy-haul CDL skills
• Perform trenching, precision excavation, grading, and backfill operations
• Excavate around utilities, pipelines, and existing infrastructure
• Maintain proper trench depth, slope, and compaction
• Load trucks and move material as needed
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Work closely with field crews to meet production and safety goals
• Travel to project sites across Western North Dakota
• Work outdoors daily in heat, cold, wind, mud, snow, and uneven terrain
• Assist with ground labor when required

This is labor-intensive outdoor field work in active industrial environments. This is not a light-duty or indoor position.

Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of backhoe operating experience required
• Valid, up-to-date Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) with the ability to drive across state lines
• Experience hauling equipment and materials a plus
• Experience in oilfield, environmental, pipeline, or construction settings
• Ability to read grade stakes and follow site plans accurately
• Must stay alert and aware of surroundings at all times
• Must recognize hazards and operate safely at all times
• Must pay attention to surroundings and work safely
• Must stay focused and aware of people, equipment, and jobsite hazards
• Must maintain constant awareness to prevent accidents
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable 5-year MVR
• Reliable transportation to report to the Tioga or Watford City office
• Willingness to work overtime (40–60 hours per week typical)
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening

OSHA 10, OSHA 40 HAZWOPER, PEC Safeland, or CDL preferred. Paid training available.

Pay & Benefits

• $25.00 – $36.00 per hour (DOE based on skill level and experience)
• 40+ hours per week
• Overtime paid in accordance with federal and North Dakota law
