JOB SUMMARY
The collegiate marketing manager is the strategic marketing partner for a portfolio of collegiate chapters, driving a strengthened campus brand, visibility, recruitment results and member retention. Combining data-driven analysis with hands-on coaching, this staff member equips chapter officers and advisors with the playbook, tools, training and tailored recommendations they need to elevate their marketing. From running high-performing paid social campaigns and contributing to KD’s storytelling at the national and local levels, this role turns marketing strategy into measurable growth. The ideal candidate knows what resonates with college women and thrives at building relationships and coaching to ensure every chapter maximizes the power of the KD brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implements marketing tactics with a portfolio of collegiate chapters to elevate their campus brand, recruiting strength, growth and retention.
o Conducts a campus competitive analysis and reviews marketing performance metrics twice annually, providing and following up on recommendations for marketing improvement.
o Provides tailored training (virtual and in-person), consultation and coaching to marketing leaders and advisors.
o Runs paid social media ad campaigns, optimizing performance for brand awareness and recruitment efforts.
o Drives chapter usage of the KD marketing resources.
o Maintains open lines of communication with chapter social media and recruitment officers and advisors.
• Coordinates reporting for the collegiate marketing program to understand the impact of efforts, foster strong decision making and improve performance.
• Collaborates on the development of guidelines, resources, trainings and best practices to boost effective chapter marketing.
• Supports the development and implementation of unique chapter campaigns, such as significant COB, chapter reorganization, housing changes, video/virtual rounds, and other assigned specific chapter development needs.
• Obtains chapter content for national use, including member stories, photos and video content.
• Serves on the extension marketing working team to support the establishment and marketing needs of KD’s new chapters.
• Contributes as an NPC marketing coach to increase Panhellenic recruitment registration on assigned campuses (if selected).
• Contributes to KD’s national storytelling and content development efforts, including e-mail newsletters, social media, the blog, The Angelos magazine, annual campaigns, video/photo shoots and more.
• Executes assigned tasks with guidance, building foundational skills and organizational knowledge while supporting projects and deliverables.
• Identifies and escalates issues.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree required in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations or related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of related professional experience.
• Effective team player who has the ability to meet project deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
• Expertise with social media platforms, digital content strategy and community engagement.
• Exceptional writing, editing, organization and communication skills.
• Strong networking and relational skills, to be able to serve as a liaison with members across generations (collegians, advisors and national leaders) and chapters.
• Self-starter, who is motivated and task-oriented.
• Competency in cross-cultural communication and inclusive messaging.
• Proven success using analytics to inform strategy and performance evaluation.
• Proficient in Marketing Cloud, Asana, Canva and Microsoft Office.
• Kappa Delta membership preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time (Memphis HQ, chapter visits, events, industry conferences).
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to operate a computer and navigate applications with a smart phone, computer, and or tablet.
- Position may require prolong periods of sitting.
- Must be able to use hand and arms for repetitive movement such as movement of wrists, hands, and fingers while typing.
- Must be able to converse with colleagues via phone and computer programs.
- Vision required to see electronic devices and inspect properties.
- When working remotely work should be performed in a private, quiet space with minimal background noise.
