This leadership role is responsible for designing and executing enterprise-scale IT integrations and AI-driven automation solutions across business applications. The Director, IT AI/Integrations will develop a roadmap for SaaS connectivity, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled processes that enhance efficiency, scalability, and governance. Acting as a bridge between IT, business units, and data teams, this position ensures that systems are secure, standardized, and future-ready while delivering measurable impact. The role also involves building and mentoring a high-performing team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and implementing best practices for automation, API management, and AI adoption. Success requires a mix of strategic vision, technical expertise, and the ability to drive innovation across complex, fast-moving environments.
- Lead the design and implementation of SaaS integrations, intelligent automation, and AI-driven workflows across enterprise applications
- Develop and maintain an Automation/AI Roadmap aligned with business priorities, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and ROI
- Serve as a technical architect for APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and AI-enabled platforms, ensuring governance and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Applications, Data & Analytics, Project Management, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless solutions
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to deliver enterprise automation and AI capabilities
- Establish and enforce integration standards, documentation, and operational guidelines for reliability and performance
- Partner with vendors and technology providers to drive adoption, ROI, and continuous improvement of IT and AI solutions
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in designing and implementing integration and automation solutions, including 5+ years leading technical teams
- Hands-on experience with WorkatoOne or similar MCP platforms, integrating SaaS applications like Salesforce, NetSuite, Gainsight, or Rippling
- Practical experience applying AI/ML solutions (Generative or Agentic AI) to automate business workflows
- Strong knowledge of API protocols (REST, SOAP), JSON, MFT, Pub/Sub, Webhooks, Event-Driven Architecture, and authentication standards (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, API keys)
- Familiarity with data solutions, ETL, transformation, and mapping, including platforms such as Redshift or Snowflake
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive consensus
- Ability to mentor and foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and continuous learning across teams
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, remote or hybrid environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and responsible AI adoption principles
