About the Program
The Newcomer Youth Connections to Success (NYCS) is a dynamic program designed to support newcomer youth (ages 15–18) in successfully transitioning into the Canadian education system and future workforce. The program focuses on building confidence, social connections, and early career direction through mentorship, skills development, and exposure to post-secondary and career pathways.

The Associate Manager will oversee the coordination and delivery of the NYCS program. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on management experience in youth engagement, employment services, and community programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing program delivery, supporting staff and volunteers, and ensuring high-quality service delivery and positive outcomes for newcomer youth.

As an Associate Manager, NYCS you will:
  • Provide management oversight for the planning and implementation of program activities, including group sessions and one-on-one support
  • Ensure all program activities align with organizational standards and strategic goals
  • Support program staff with the recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of mentors and guest speakers
  • Guide and support the organization of site visits to colleges, universities, and community partners
  • Manage partnerships and stakeholder engagement
  • Assume overall responsibility for program reporting and administration
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional in Social Services, Education, Human Resources, Community Development, or a related field
  • Experience working with youth (co-op, volunteer, or professional experience considered)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate or oversee programs, projects, or teams
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to engage diverse populations, particularly newcomer communities
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Facilitation experience and knowledge of the Canadian education system and job market are assets
  • A clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required for this position
