SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Lead Systems Engineer.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer forthe OHIO Program at NUWCDIVNPT to become the Lead Systems Engineer for the OHIOClass Modernization efforts. This candidate will be responsible for theoversight and coordination required during the development, integration, testand evaluation, and certification efforts for OHIO Class platforms.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for working with and leading a projectteam during the development of USW Non-Propulsion Electronics System (NPES)systems/subsystems, coordinating program events, Engineering Changes (ECs),integration and verification testing, test reporting, and fleet support for USWNPES systems/subsystems and related components.
- Leading and engaging in various planningactivities to ensure compatibility among various asynchronous system upgrades,both with respect to technical and schedule impacts and to ensure compatibilitybetween OHIO Ship and Strategic Weapon System Upgrades in accordance with theStrategic Systems Program Coordination Process.
- Analysis of test procedures and preparation ofassociated lab configurations in support of USW NPES test events.
- Collaboration/coordination with various OHIO LifeCycle Support Facility (LCSF) stakeholders.
- Participating in and leading various systemsengineering meetings.
- Reviewing and analyzing system requirementspecifications and technical design review packages and providing subjectmatter expert comments and updates.
- Engaging in system engineering efforts to provideinputs for costing and schedule as well as technical aspects.
- Working with team in identifying project risksand developing associated mitigation plans.
- Advanced knowledge of and experience withSubmarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) and other Non-
- PropulsionElectronics Subsystems, both with respect to operation, function, design, andarchitecture.
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices andprocedures as they pertain to sustainment, modification, logistics, productionmanagement principles, concepts, policies, systems, and standard acquisitionregulations, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and developoptions and recommendations.
- Understanding containerization processes.
- Self starter with strong work ethic and desire tolearn and face modernization challenges head on.
- Skill in communicating both orally and in writingand comfortable interfacing with and briefing senior leadership personnel.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
Experience: 7 years of experience.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
