Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Epic Cogito tools, including Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, and Radar.
  • Experience administering reporting platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects (Launch Pad preferred).
  • Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of relational databases and data structures.
  • Experience with report development and migration (e.g., Crystal Reports to Cogito or Power BI) preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system, data, and reporting issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and operational teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.


Job Summary:

To provide the technical skills and expertise required in developing and maintaining computer operating system software of the most complex nature.

Job Duties:

UTMB is seeking an Epic Cogito Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance our Epic analytics and reporting platforms. This role is responsible for the administration of Cogito front-end tools, content management, and collaboration with analysts and application teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions.
  • Administer and support Epic Cogito tools, including SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, and Radar dashboards.
  • Manage and support front-end reporting platforms, including SAP BusinessObjects Launch Pad.
  • Provision and maintain Cogito security, including user access, roles, and permissions.
  • Maintain and customize Epic-released and locally developed content, including:
  • Reporting Workbench templates
  • Cogito SQL metrics
  • SlicerDicer sessions and filters
  • Troubleshoot issues with Cogito tools, reporting content, and data availability, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Developers (BIDs) and Epic application analysts to design and deliver reporting solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of analytic content.
  • Serve as a liaison between reporting teams, operational stakeholders, and Epic technical teams.
  • Review Epic Nova notes and coordinate updates to Cogito content during system upgrades.
  • Maintain, optimize, and convert legacy reporting solutions (e.g., Crystal Reports) into Cogito tools or Power BI where appropriate.
  • Support data model updates and ensure alignment with reporting needs.


Salary Range:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

Remote position. 8 am to 5 pm, and as needed on occasion.
