This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a newly created HRIS function within a fast-growing, multi-campus higher education environment. In this role, you will shape the strategy, structure, and evolution of a complex HR technology ecosystem that supports thousands of employees and students across multiple locations. You will act as both a strategic partner and hands-on system expert, ensuring HR systems are optimized, integrated, and aligned with organizational goals. The position combines HR technology leadership, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration with HR and IT teams. You will play a key role in improving data integrity, system efficiency, and user experience across a wide range of HR platforms. - Develop and execute HRIS and HR technology strategies aligned with organizational objectives and long-term workforce needs.
- Lead implementation, configuration, and upgrades of HRIS platforms, ensuring seamless integration across multiple systems and tools.
- Partner with HR and IT teams to maintain data integrity, system security, compliance, and operational accuracy across HR technologies.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to generate actionable insights, dashboards, and reports that support decision-making and workforce planning.
- Serve as the primary HRIS subject matter expert, resolving system issues and supporting end-users with timely and effective solutions.
- Design and deliver training programs for HR teams and system users to maximize adoption, efficiency, and system utilization.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and innovation, including developing business cases for new HRIS features and improvements.
- Stay current with HRIS trends and best practices to continuously improve systems, processes, and user experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree or HRIP certification is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS, HR systems management, or HR analytics roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is highly preferred).
- Proven track record of managing HR systems, data integrity, system configuration, and process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with HR and IT teams on system integrations, upgrades, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, support, and guide system users at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
