This role is a strategic leadership position within a fast-evolving connected transportation and IoT environment, where you will lead a team of technical experts supporting enterprise customers and partners in adopting advanced fleet and telematics solutions. You will operate at the intersection of sales engineering, product expertise, and customer success, ensuring complex technical solutions are effectively designed, communicated, and implemented. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical oversight, requiring you to guide solution design, support high-impact engagements, and act as a senior escalation point. You will also play a key role in shaping internal processes, improving delivery standards, and driving continuous team development. This is a highly collaborative environment where you will partner closely with engineering, product, and commercial teams. The position demands both strategic thinking and technical credibility to influence outcomes across the organization.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of solutions engineers supporting commercial customers across North America.
- Oversee technical solution design, scoping, and execution for complex customer and partner engagements.
- Act as a senior escalation point for high-impact technical issues and strategic customer interactions.
- Define and optimize team processes, workflows, and standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and workload distribution to ensure effective delivery.
- Establish and track performance metrics (KPAs), ensuring alignment with organizational and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure successful adoption and optimization of solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, knowledge sharing, and process enhancement.
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical account management, or similar technical roles.
- 3–5+ years of proven leadership experience managing and developing technical or customer-facing teams.
- Strong technical background with experience in APIs, software integrations, and data-driven platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools, and cloud-based or IoT-enabled ecosystems is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management capabilities.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
