Senior Capture Manager - Aviation Group

This role sits at the center of a high-impact growth organization focused on advancing defense aviation capabilities within the DoD ecosystem. The Senior Capture Manager will lead end-to-end capture efforts, from early opportunity identification through proposal submission, driving competitive positioning and win strategies. You will work closely with senior leadership to shape pipeline priorities, refine customer engagement approaches, and influence revenue growth. The role requires a strong understanding of aviation-related defense markets, acquisition processes, and complex proposal development. Operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, you will collaborate across technical, business development, and proposal teams. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact strategic direction and capture outcomes for critical aviation programs.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead capture strategy development and execution across assigned aviation opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while maintaining a strong and healthy pipeline.
  • Gather and analyze customer requirements, translating them into differentiated win strategies and compelling value propositions.
  • Develop and execute capture management plans, including competitive analysis, teaming strategies, pricing considerations, and solution development.
  • Coordinate proposal inputs and artifacts, supporting kickoff meetings, color reviews, and final submission readiness.
  • Conduct ongoing capture reviews and brief leadership on progress, risks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build customer, partner, and competitor intelligence to inform positioning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to post-award analysis and continuous improvement of capture processes.
  • Support strategic planning discussions and help drive organizational revenue and profitability goals.
  • Strengthen industry presence and contribute to expanding market reputation.
Requirements:
  • US citizenship required with active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in business development, capture management, or proposal leadership within aviation or defense sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and aviation-related markets.
  • Experience managing full capture lifecycle, including strategy development, proposal coordination, and win strategy execution.
  • Familiarity with RFIs, RFPs, technical proposals, oral presentations, and pricing strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and manage pipelines and opportunity funnels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams around strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and capture management tools.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments with a results-driven mindset.
