This is a high-impact engineering leadership role focused on driving large-scale transformation for a flagship SaaS platform at the intersection of tax, compliance, and AI-driven innovation. You will lead complex engineering organizations responsible for modernizing legacy systems, scaling cloud-native architectures, and embedding AI capabilities into core product experiences. The role combines strategic vision with deep technical leadership, requiring you to influence product direction while ensuring engineering excellence across a high-growth, revenue-generating platform. You will partner closely with product, data, and executive leadership teams to define long-term architecture and innovation strategy. This is a highly visible role where your decisions will directly shape platform scalability, customer experience, and future product differentiation. You will also play a key role in building a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous technical evolution within a fast-moving SaaS environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and scale engineering teams responsible for a large, revenue-generating SaaS platform with a focus on modernization and long-term scalability.
  • Drive multi-year platform transformation initiatives, including re-architecture, replatforming, and migration toward modern cloud-based and microservices-based systems.
  • Own the technical roadmap for the product, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and enterprise-scale performance requirements.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into core product functionality in collaboration with product managers, data scientists, and cross-functional partners.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership and guidance to executive stakeholders on engineering investments, system design, and innovation priorities.
  • Establish engineering best practices, ensuring high standards for reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Champion engineering innovation, including adoption of AI tools and modern development practices to improve efficiency and product outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading engineering organizations responsible for large-scale SaaS products, ideally $50M+ in revenue or similar enterprise scale.
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, architecture, and distributed systems, with the ability to engage deeply in technical discussions.
  • Experience leading platform modernization initiatives, including replatforming, scalability improvements, and cloud-native transformations.
  • Demonstrated success integrating AI, machine learning, or advanced data-driven capabilities into production-grade software products.
  • Strong leadership experience building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into technical execution plans and long-term architectural vision.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership, product teams, and technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on engineering judgment and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working in high-growth, high-visibility SaaS environments is highly preferred.
Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation package including base salary, performance bonuses, and eligibility for additional incentives.
  • Paid time off and comprehensive parental leave policies.
  • Private medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage depending on location.
  • Life and disability insurance benefits.
  • Inclusive workplace culture with strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and employee resource groups.
  • Flexible work environment supporting remote collaboration.
  • Opportunity to lead AI-first product innovation at enterprise scale.
  • Career growth within a fast-scaling global SaaS organization.
  • Employee wellness and professional development support programs.
