This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with existing commercial and industrial customers, ensuring high retention and expanding service adoption within a defined territory. You will act as a key point of contact for smaller, less complex accounts, managing inbound and outbound communication to support customer needs and strengthen long-term partnerships. The position combines relationship management, sales execution, and service optimization in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to upsell additional services while ensuring customer satisfaction and contract continuity. Working closely with internal sales leadership, you will track performance, manage account activity, and contribute directly to revenue retention goals. This is a highly interactive role where communication, consistency, and customer trust are essential.
- Proactively manage and retain a portfolio of existing commercial and industrial customers through regular outbound and inbound engagement.
- Develop a strong understanding of service offerings, pricing structures, and contract terms to effectively support customer needs and upsell opportunities.
- Execute contract renewals and re-signing activities to strengthen long-term customer relationships and improve retention rates.
- Respond to cancellation requests and customer concerns while following escalation and retention protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, activities, and opportunities using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
- Increase customer penetration by identifying and promoting additional service offerings within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to review account performance, retention metrics, and customer engagement strategies.
- Support administrative and reporting tasks related to account management and customer lifecycle tracking.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0–2 years of experience in customer service, account management, or a related client-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Basic proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce and standard office tools.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to learn product/service offerings quickly and apply knowledge in customer conversations.
