This senior operations leadership role is focused on driving performance, growth, and excellence across a multi-site healthcare services portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers. The Director of Operations will act as a key partner to physician leaders, ensuring strong governance, financial performance, and operational alignment across multiple facilities. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, overseeing complex, high-revenue environments while improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The position requires close collaboration with clinical teams, business development, and corporate functions to support scalable growth. It is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder healthcare settings and is passionate about improving access to high-quality outpatient care. The role is remote-centric with regional responsibility across Texas and Northern Louisiana.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead execution of regional operational and growth strategies for a portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and physician partnerships.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for volume growth, service line expansion, and improved patient outcomes across assigned facilities.
  • Oversee ASC governance activities, including board preparation, participation, and facilitation of strategic decision-making processes.
  • Manage full P&L responsibility for assigned centers, ensuring financial targets, EBITDA goals, and budget adherence are achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical operations, revenue cycle, HR, IT, and business development to ensure operational excellence.
  • Mentor and develop Center Administrators, strengthening leadership pipelines and ensuring consistent execution of operational best practices.
  • Oversee staffing models, labor optimization, and resource allocation to maintain cost efficiency and performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, risk management, and patient safety standards across all facilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of healthcare management experience, including multi-site operational leadership.
  • Proven experience managing healthcare operations with significant revenue responsibility (multi-million-dollar P&L oversight).
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient care models, or physician-led healthcare environments.
  • Experience with contract negotiations, managed care, and healthcare financial performance management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with physicians and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of strategic thinking, analytical capability, and operational execution discipline.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and scope of responsibility
  • Performance-based incentives and bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life, disability, and supplemental insurance options
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching (401k)
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), and transportation benefits
  • Paid time off starting at 20 days annually, increasing up to 25 days, plus 9 paid holidays
  • Paid family leave and additional parental support programs
  • Remote-centric hybrid work model offering flexibility and work-life balance
  • Professional development, training, and leadership growth opportunities
