This role plays a critical part in shaping global sourcing strategies for contract manufacturing within a leading biotechnology-driven organization. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end sourcing initiatives that ensure cost efficiency, supplier excellence, and operational resilience across complex, regulated environments. Acting as a strategic partner to cross-functional leadership, you will translate business needs into sourcing strategies that deliver measurable value and long-term impact. The position requires strong analytical capability, negotiation expertise, and the ability to manage global supplier relationships in a matrixed organization. You will also leverage data and market intelligence to inform decisions, optimize procurement performance, and identify savings opportunities. Operating in a highly collaborative and science-driven environment, you will contribute directly to strengthening supply chain capabilities that support the delivery of life-changing therapies.
- Develop and execute global strategic sourcing strategies for contract manufacturing, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cost optimization goals, and category strategies
- Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and end-to-end contract management to secure high-performing and compliant partnerships
- Analyze procurement data, supplier performance, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency
- Utilize advanced analytics and sourcing tools to generate insights and support strategic decision-making across procurement activities
- Manage key supplier relationships to drive innovation, quality improvement, and long-term value creation
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, and Business teams, to ensure alignment, risk mitigation, and regulatory adherence
- Support and guide complex sourcing negotiations and RFP processes in partnership with senior leadership and category teams
- Contribute to financial planning and cost savings forecasting while ensuring delivery against sourcing targets
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and promote continuous improvement within procurement practices
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of sourcing experience, Master’s with 2+ years, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle management
- Experience in contract manufacturing or complex procurement environments, ideally within life sciences or regulated industries
- Proficiency with procurement and sourcing platforms (e.g., Ariba, Workday Strategic Sourcing, Sirion Labs) and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and market intelligence to drive sourcing decisions
- Proven experience managing cross-functional, global projects in a matrixed organization
- Strong financial, contractual, and legal understanding related to procurement and supplier agreements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
- Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and operate in a fast-paced global environment
- Preferred: experience with supplier performance management, cost optimization programs, and advanced procurement analytics tools
- Competitive annual salary range: $98,290 – $132,981 USD
