Responsibilities
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Provide medication reminders (per state regulations and facility policy)
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and dining assistance
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Assist with housekeeping tasks in resident rooms as needed
• Encourage social engagement and participation in activities
• Follow individualized care plans and safety procedures
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home care preferred but not required
• CNA certification (if required by state) is a plus
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
