Description & Requirements

Elder Research Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MANTECH international Corporation seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will partner closely with stakeholders to deliver clear, trustworthy reporting solutions that support informed decision-making. In this role, you will design and implement impactful, user-focused dashboards and analytics solutions that translate complex data into actionable insights. Emphasizing data storytelling, visualization excellence, and strong technical expertise across modern BI platforms, the position advances strategic initiatives such as Sentinel-driven product safety analytics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Dashboard & Visualization Development
  • Design and build interactive, user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate insights to diverse audiences.
  • Apply data storytelling and performance optimization techniques to ensure accessible, high-impact visualizations across devices.
• Data Modeling & Transformation
  • Develop scalable, accurate data models and implement ETL processes integrating data from relational databases, warehouses, and other sources.
  • Enforce data governance best practices, including validation, lineage tracking, and comprehensive documentation.
• Analytics & Insight Delivery
  • Translate business requirements into actionable BI solutions, delivering ad hoc analyses and executive-ready reports that support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine KPIs aligned with organizational goals and measurable outcomes.
• Performance Optimization & Quality Assurance
  • Monitor and enhance Power BI performance through query tuning, resource management, and ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance and validation processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate BI solutions into workflows and Agile delivery processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities and increasing efficiency in reporting and analytics.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years in business intelligence, analytics, or data visualization roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, and dashboard/report development.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and relational databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Visualization Expertise:
  • Ability to design impactful, user-friendly dashboards that communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Synapse) and cloud-based BI deployments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance standards.
• Advanced certifications in Power BI or related BI tools

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.
