We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our Downtown Property. This full-time, on-site position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation one week per month.

Work Orders & Property Maintenance (60%)

• Troubleshoot basic plumbing, light electrical, and light HVAC issues

• Complete painting, repairs, and general upkeep to high standards

• Manage work orders via iPhone app, prioritizing and escalating tasks as needed

• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards

• Assist with inventory and maintain an organized workspace

Communication & Collaboration (15%)

• Keep residents, vendors, and team members informed on progress

• Coordinate with property management and vendors to complete work efficiently

• Contribute to a positive resident experience through clear communication

On-Call Responsibilities (5%)

• Respond to emergencies during scheduled after-hours shifts (one week per month)

Additional Duties (20%)

• Address interruptions or unplanned maintenance needs promptly

• Support team objectives and uphold Uptown’s service standards

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• 1+ year of experience in make-ready, property maintenance, or a similar role

• Comfort with hand tools and moderate-to-heavy physical demands (lift 50–100+ lbs, climb ladders, stand ~90% of the workday)

• Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude
