Junior Technical Trainer

Position: Junior Technical Trainer

Department: EPMO

Reporting to: Technical Training Manager

Location: This role is situated in Topeka, Kansas, and it is exclusively an on-site work arrangement. Additionally, please note that the company does not extend sponsorship opportunities at this time.

Overview:

The Junior Technical Trainer leverages instructional design and change management principles to develop effective, user-focused training solutions that support adoption of Advisors Excel applications, processes, and project initiatives. This role ensures employees are well-prepared to execute business objectives through structured, high-quality learning programs.

What you'll do:

Translate business requirements and project documentation into comprehensive training programs
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements for financial services products, projects, and applications
Develop a range of supporting materials, including multimedia content, reference guides, and assessment tools
Design and deliver online courses, simulations, and assessments
Provide high-quality training solutions
Perform basic LMS administrative functions

Experience you'll bring:

Professional experience developing detailed requirement documentation for business processes or software development
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
Ability to manage a dynamic workload and prioritize competing tasks effectively
Capable of working independently while contributing as a collaborative team member
Professional, clear, and articulate in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to build rapport across diverse personalities and organizational levels

Bonus Points:

Instructional design experience and exposure to Agile/Scrum or Lean methodologies
Knowledge of course development software and Learning Management Systems
