Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers to define project scope, expectations, and requirements
• Interface cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing (multi-site), and Engineering teams
• Create 2D/3D product designs and electronic CAD models in SolidWorks aligned with manufacturing capabilities
• Conduct product design reviews with customers, internal teams, and suppliers
• Develop multi-cavity design data to support tooling fabrication
• Participate in manufacturing process development
• Create manufacturing work instructions and process control documentation
• Partner with manufacturing on continuous improvement initiatives
• Support problem resolution through root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Coordinate product validation testing and dimensional documentation
• Participate in new technology investigations
• Manage multiple development projects to required schedule and budget
• May travel up to 20% to support project objectives

Required Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical discipline preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of SolidWorks product design experience
• Experience creating detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings and models for consumer-based products
• Ability to read and interpret CAD/blueprint drawings
• Understanding of design for manufacturing principles
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience managing multiple development projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with molded fiber/molded product design
• SolidWorks PDM knowledge
• Epicor or Mastercam experience
• Understanding of tooling fabrication
