At Atlantic Emergency Solutions, our technicians support the equipment that firefighters and emergency responders rely on every day. We are seeking a full-time Specialty Equipment Service Technician – Rescue Tools to support customers in and around the Columbus, OH area.
In this role, you will service and maintain rescue equipment, ensuring critical life-saving tools are ready when they are needed most. This is a mobile, field-based position where you will work independently while building strong relationships with customers and supporting both service and sales efforts.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, standard business hours
- Overtime may be available based on business needs

Work Environment:
- Mobile, field-based role supporting customers throughout the Columbus, OH region
- Work performed at customer locations
- Specialty work on rescue equipment used by first responders
Key Job Duties:
- Conduct scheduled service calls and perform preventative maintenance on rescue equipment
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment as needed
- Plan routes, schedule work, and manage time effectively in a mobile environment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities
- Promote services including maintenance programs, equipment upgrades, and replacement parts
- Maintain accurate documentation of service work, inspections, and repairs
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards
What we’re looking for:
- At least two years of experience or knowledge within the fire industry and rescue equipment manufacturers
- Prior sales experience and ability to identify and develop new customer relationships is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Experience using computer programs for scheduling, reporting, and communication
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Work environment and physical demands:
- This role includes standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing
- The position involves exposure to equipment, noise, and occasional outdoor conditions
