Job Description: Account Manager
Sushic is currently seeking an enthusiastic Account Manager to manage client accounts, maintain favorable relationships with customers, and to seek out new contracts and accounts for sushi bar, catering and delivery services. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and adaptable professional with excellent leadership and interpersonal communication who is committed to providing outstanding customer service. The Account Manager will be responsible for setting up meetings with potential clients, negotiating, and making sales pitches for new Sushi Bar operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain customer accounts for Sushi Bars, Catering, and Delivery Services including establishing strong, long-term relationships with clients and operators
- Address and respond to client and operator needs in a timely and professional manner and effectively troubleshooting any problems that may arise, serving as their main point of contact
- Ensure proper execution of menu items and operational procedures, providing guidance and training as needed
- Inspect established locations to ensure SOP compliance, food safety standards, and address any relevant issues
- Monitor account performance and analyze and provide regular reports on sales, service levels, and market trends
- Oversee ongoing data and sales analysis to validate accuracy, identify discrepancies, and ensure finalized reports are submitted to accounting for efficient processing
- Stay informed of market conditions, innovations, and competitor pricing to share value-added insights with clients and update product offerings to ensure menus remain exciting and retail pricing stays competitive
- Collaborate with R&D to project manage new menu development and food cost analysis, ensuring all offerings align with the client’s brand and operational needs.
- Seek out, establish, maintain, and develop business with clients and prospects for Sushi Bars, Catering, and Delivery Services across regions
- Set up meetings with potential clients, negotiate, and make sales pitches for new Sushi Bar operations
- Review contracts and prepare RFP’s (Request For Proposal) for new sales
- Project manage new locations from sales through to opening, setup, and ongoing management of new business locations
- Provide support as needed for Delivery Service program, including receiving/processing orders, communicating with kitchen crews and drivers, and ensuring accurate invoicing.
- Supervise and support catering events including load in, event execution/network, and load out if needed
- Proactively identify process gaps and apply innovative thinking to enhance efficiency and overall performance.
- Travel (up to 40%) by car or plane with overnight stays
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing or related degree required
- 3-5 years sales in account management, sales, food service or another related field required
- At least 2 years of experience working with clients and giving sales presentations required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients, team members, and vendors
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Experience in new menu development, catering, or restaurant operations a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), GSuite and CRM software
- Knowledge of the food service industry, including trends, products, and services highly preferred
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on client satisfaction and retention
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring operational execution and consistency
- Ability to analyze market data and provide insights to clients
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations highly preferred
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to travel as required (up to 40%)
