This role provides an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of aviation operations and advanced technology, supporting a next-generation Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) across the National Airspace System. You will contribute to consolidating legacy systems into a modern platform that provides critical, real-time information to air traffic controllers in En Route, Terminal, Tower, and Offshore domains. The position involves coordinating complex program activities, analyzing operational requirements, and ensuring seamless implementation and transition of new systems. You will engage with cross-functional teams, including system engineers and FAA personnel, while maintaining high standards for safety, accuracy, and efficiency. This role offers significant impact on national aviation operations, with opportunities to travel and collaborate on cutting-edge projects across multiple facilities.
- Provide expert analysis and guidance to support the planning, implementation, and transition of E-IDS across national and regional facilities
- Coordinate technical meetings, program reviews, and workgroup activities to align air traffic operations with system changes
- Assist in requirements verification, usability assessments, and validation of new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal ATC tools and systems
- Analyze system and subsystem specifications to ensure operational concerns are addressed and technical requirements are met
- Present solutions and recommendations for short- and long-term program planning initiatives
- Communicate complex ATC concepts and requirements effectively to diverse audiences, including engineers, leadership, and program personnel
- Support training development, reporting, and documentation of operational analyses and program metrics
- Minimum 10 years of active air traffic control experience in En Route & Oceanic or Terminal environments
- Relevant ATC training and certifications, with knowledge of systems such as ERAM, TAMR, STARS, ASDE-X, ADS-B, ASOS, TFMS, TFDM, and TBFM
- Experience in program management or acquisition for FAA or similar organizations for Level II and above positions
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with at least 3 years residency in the U.S. and ability to obtain FAA suitability
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a high-intensity, mission-critical environment
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting/documentation tools
- Ability and willingness to travel 40-60% as required by project needs
- Competitive salary range: $86,800 – $135,625 per year
