About This Position
Administer and continuously improve our Jira and Confluence environments — including project configuration, permission schemes, workflows, issue types, space architecture, license management, and user provisioning
Build and maintain dashboards, filters, and reporting to give stakeholders visibility into project status and team capacity
Partner closely with stakeholders across the company — including MarComm, Engineering, Operations, and more — to design Jira projects and Confluence spaces that reflect how each team works
Develop and enforce governance standards for space ownership, page templates, project naming conventions, and data hygiene
Serve as the primary point of contact for Atlassian platform requests — triaging and fulfilling tickets from users while maintaining runbooks and end-user documentation
Proactively identify opportunities to improve how teams work — whether through a new integration, add-on, or better use of existing features — and drive awareness and adoption company-wide
Play a key role in our planned Data Center to Cloud migration — assessing app compatibility, coordinating cutover planning, and ensuring continuity for users throughout the transition
Manage other platforms including Airtable and DocuSign
3+ years of hands-on Jira and Confluence administration experience in a production environment, including Jira/Confluence Data Center
Deep familiarity with Jira project types (classic and next-gen/team-managed), workflow customization, permission schemes, and automation rules
Experience designing and governing Confluence space architecture, templates, and permissions at scale
Hands-on ScriptRunner experience — writing Groovy scripts to extend Jira workflows, automate transitions, and implement custom behaviors that native automation can't handle
Practical experience with the Jira and Confluence REST APIs: building integrations, scripting bulk operations, and connecting Atlassian tools to other platforms
Track record of working directly with non-technical stakeholders to scope and deliver platform solutions
Comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple teams with different working styles and maturity levels
Strong written communication skills — you can explain a complex workflow to an engineer and a non-technical executive equally well
Experience with Jira Service Management or ITSM workflows
Exposure to compliance-adjacent environments (GovCloud, FedRAMP, CMMC, or similar)
Atlassian certification (ACP-100 or equivalent) a plus, not a requirement
