Job Overview
This position is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and reporting data to support capital execution and budget expenditures using applicable analytic applications.Employee will work directly with Project Delivery team members and other functional groups to coordinate project deliverables, resolve project obstacles, and perform diversified tasks to ensure timely completion of milestones.This position will require leadership, time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills along with the ability to follow industry related regulations and policies under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Providing analytical support and administrative services for capital construction projects to ensure compliance and safety requirements
  • Assists, supports, and maintains a cooperative working relationship with Project Managers
  • Forecasts capital projects, updates estimates and reviews spending schedules
  • Conducts weekly cost analysis
  • Evaluates actuals and projects future expenses
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports project cost variances
  • Analyzes reports and invoices for accuracy
  • Participates in bid solicitation, evaluation, and award
  • Creates quarterly accruals
  • Monitors purchase order deliverables
  • Reviews, reconciles, and reports project surplus material
  • Initiates project setup, monitors, and updates project status timely and accurately
  • Requisitions, audits, and enters receipts for all project material
  • Reviews all project documents, creates job books, and coordinates exchange of data with Material Specialists
  • Manages the exchange of material with internal functional groups, vendors, contractors, company inspectors, and any personnel responsible for storing and physically receiving project material
  • Audits and reconciles project documents to meet technical closing and unitization standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Entry level to 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize task with frequent interruptions
  • Strong at budgeting, forecasting, and performing complex analytical tasks
  • Ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerBi, and SharePoint
  • Ability to navigate and learn the company’s financial system
  • Ability to work extended hours without notice to handle project emergencies or deadlines
  • Ability to travel on occasion to job sites, team meetings, and construction kickoff meetings



Preferred Qualification

  • Major in business related field such as finance, accounting, or economics
  • Experience with forecasting capital projects
  • Experience with Oracle and PowerPlan
  • Experience in the natural gas industry



Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other functional teams across the organization
