About This Position
Description:
Job Purpose: The Blending Technician will execute the delivery of daily blend requirements according to production schedules through the manufacturing of Lucas Oil Products from raw materials in compliance with company quality assurance specification requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate blending machine and other production equipment
- Mix ingredients in blenders according to written process
- Ensure the correct ingredients, quantities and item numbers are used
- Use various measuring devices to ensure an accurate and precise mixture
- Maintain clean equipment, complete product logs and report discrepancies
- Verify gallon amounts and capacity of tanks before blending
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area
- Perform other tasks as needed
- Communicate with co-workers and other supervisors
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machines
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as hot and cold temperatures, and exposure to dust and noise.
- Manual dexterity to handle and manipulate materials and equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
- Capacity to perform tasks that involve pushing, pulling, and maneuvering heavy objects.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA regulations.
- Must possess basic math, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented
Education/Certification/etc required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of related experience is required.
- Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.
