About the FacilityIsuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to establish a new production facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. This 1 million-square-foot, state-of-the-art plant—set on over 200 acres—will feature a flexible production line capable of manufacturing both internal combustion and electric vehicles. Production will include the N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks, with a targeted capacity of up to fifty thousand units by 2030. Operations are expected to launch in 2027, with expansion slated for 2028.
Strategically located near I-85, I-26, and the Port of Charleston, the site supports streamlined logistics and consolidated operations under one roof. This initiative is projected to create over 700 new jobs in the area.
What You NeedHigh school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or general assembly
At least 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory role
Strong understanding of general assembly tasks, equipment, and safety procedures
Working knowledge of tools and operations including hoists, cranes, torque tools, tire equipment, BEV/GAS modifications, and vehicle structure assembly
Familiarity with maintenance, jig inspections, and defect prevention methods
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email)
Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
Ability to foster teamwork and coach employees toward performance goals
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance standards
Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and respect for safety and quality standards
Executes general assembly operations across assigned stations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards
Leads team members in daily assignments and ensures proper coverage in alignment with production schedules
Monitors takt-time, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flows. Reports deviations and supports quick recovery actions
Supports safety leadership by enforcing floor safety protocols, leading toolbox talks, and promoting safe behaviors
Assists in in-line quality checks, reports defects, and supports immediate containment and resolution efforts
Communicates production goals, changes, and updates clearly and effectively to team members
Applies 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Contributes to improvement initiatives related to process efficiency, defect reduction, and workflow optimization
Coordinates with peers and supports departments to maintain smooth production execution
Performs other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives
