This role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead and shape the People function across multiple geographies, including the US, India, and China. As the Director, People, you will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders while driving operational excellence in employee experience and HR programs. You will lead a team of People Operations professionals, ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency across policies and processes. This position requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and the interpersonal skills to build trust at all organizational levels. By enabling performance management, guiding employee relations, and improving organizational effectiveness, you will have a direct influence on the culture, growth, and success of the organization. As Director, People, you will:
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with business leaders to translate HR strategy into practical, executable initiatives across regions.
- Lead and develop the People Operations team across the US, India, and China, providing coaching, oversight, and fostering team independence.
- Drive consistency and quality in People programs, policies, and employee experience globally.
- Oversee employee relations matters, including investigations, performance issues, and conflict resolution, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
- Identify organizational trends, risks, and capability gaps, implementing proactive solutions and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and government requirements, partnering with Talent Acquisition and other stakeholders.
- Manage HR systems and data integrity, streamlining processes to enhance employee experience.
Candidates should bring:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or management of HR professionals across multiple locations.
- Strong employee relations expertise, including handling complex investigations and performance management situations.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. employment law and compliance requirements.
- Experience with performance management platforms and HR systems (e.g., Lattice).
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills to influence and partner with leaders.
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and exercise sound judgment with limited oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- High organizational skills, attention to process, and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Competitive base salary: $150,000–$170,000 + performance-based bonus.
