The Creative Director will lead the development of compelling, cohesive visual and experiential storytelling across marketing channels, events, and internal communications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this position drives brand awareness, engagement, and performance through data-informed creative decisions. The role combines hands-on design leadership with team building, mentoring, and vendor management, ensuring that all creative output reflects both quality and impact. - Lead and evolve the creative vision across all brand and marketing touchpoints, ensuring consistent, high-quality output
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of designers, illustrators, web developers, videographers, and production specialists
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute integrated campaigns, events, and content initiatives
- Oversee hands-on creation and production, balancing internal work with outsourced specialty projects
- Optimize creative workflows, project management, and technology resources to maximize efficiency
- Ensure brand strategy and creative work are data-informed, audience-focused, and aligned with business objectives
- Develop and track project budgets, timelines, and performance metrics, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact campaigns
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling creative marketing functions at high-growth US-based startups (seed through Series D)
- 5+ years of experience managing creative and marketing teams
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and creative AI platforms
- Experience with web development, CMS platforms, accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, AODA), and project management software (Asana, Jira, Monday, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of video production, event management, and multi-channel advertising campaigns
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, including presenting and gaining buy-in from executive leadership
- Demonstrated ability to hire, retain, and develop top creative talent while fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture
- Experience in fintech, finance, or B2B startups is a strong plus
