About This Position

JOB TITLE: PROJECT ESTIMATOR

DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERED SERVICES GROUP

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF ESTIMATING

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Project Estimator is responsible for developing customized fall protection systems and accurately determining their cost using customer provided building plans and project specifications. This role requires strong plan reading skills, construction industry knowledge, and critical thinking to deliver estimates that support successful project bids. This is a full-time remote position with opportunities for growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review drawings and specifications to perform formal quotations for clients
  • Develop initial layouts for fall protection and façade maintenance systems
  • Assist with the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and project deliverables
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fall protection industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Construction plan reading experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • An open mind to design options with a keen eye for detail
  • Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts
  • Microsoft office products: Word, Outlook, Excel (advanced/intermediate knowledge)
  • Comfortable learning new processes, and working with coworkers to complete tasks
  • Ability to respond appropriately to change in priorities and services as directed by management
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while working both independently and with a team
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to maintain a professional, innovative, positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills
