Job Description

Senior Federal Technical Consultant

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Federal Technical Consultant in United States.

This role is a high-impact, client-facing technical consulting position focused on designing and delivering advanced enterprise solutions for federal customers in complex, mission-critical environments. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping organizations translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technology architectures. Operating in a remote-first but highly travel-oriented model, the role involves close collaboration with customers, sales teams, and solution architects to shape technical direction and ensure successful solution delivery. You will work across a broad technology landscape, including storage, cloud, and data infrastructure platforms, contributing both strategic insight and hands-on implementation leadership. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage ambiguity, and the capacity to lead technical discussions with senior stakeholders. You will also play a key role in pre-sales engagements, documentation, and proposal development. This is a highly visible role with direct influence on customer success and solution adoption in federal environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the implementation of technical solutions for federal clients, ensuring alignment with agreed architectural designs and business requirements.
  • Design and contribute to detailed technical architectures for enterprise-scale environments across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership on integration activities and complex solution delivery engagements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful execution of technical deliverables.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including proposal development, RFP responses, and technical validation of solutions.
  • Translate customer requirements into high-level and detailed technical designs, including effort estimation and risk assessment.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, status meetings, and solution reviews with client and internal teams.
  • Document and share knowledge, contributing to internal best practices, tools, and technical communities.
Requirements:
  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or 8+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.
  • US Citizenship is required, with preferred but not mandatory security clearance eligibility.
  • Strong technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure, with experience in technologies such as storage systems, cloud platforms, and hybrid architectures.
  • Proven ability to design, deliver, and support complex technical solutions in client-facing environments.
  • Experience leading small technical teams or guiding delivery activities in enterprise projects.
  • Strong consulting skills, including communication, influencing, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear documentation, proposals, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and provide sound technical recommendations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% across the United States.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range from approximately $105,500 to $243,000 depending on location and experience
  • Eligibility for variable incentives and performance-based compensation
  • Remote-first work arrangement with significant travel opportunities
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Retirement savings plan and financial wellbeing programs
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements
  • Career development programs and internal mobility opportunities
  • Access to cutting-edge enterprise technologies and training resources
  • Inclusive and diverse global work environment
  • Employee wellbeing, assistance programs, and professional support initiatives.
