Maintenance Supervisor at Landings Management, LLC – Middletown, Rhode Island

About the Role:

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all facility equipment and infrastructure within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Supervisor will develop maintenance schedules, manage resources effectively, and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues to minimize downtime. This role requires close collaboration with other departments to support operational goals and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance operations contribute to the overall productivity and reliability of the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Certification in maintenance management or relevant technical certifications (e.g., OSHA, EPA, HVAC).
• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or large facility environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and extend asset life.
• Coordinate and oversee repair work, ensuring timely resolution of mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation to track work orders and compliance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with operations and management teams to plan maintenance projects and minimize production disruptions.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential problems and recommend improvements.
