Senior Mechanical Engineer at Cytek Biosciences Inc – Fremont, California

Duties:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and design mechanical systems and components according to the project requirements.
• Identify external suppliers for material manufacturing with quality assurance.
• Conduct research and analysis to improve existing mechanical systems and components.
• Prepare related technical documents, operation instructions, etc. for transferring the new design to production.
• Provide technical support during verification, production, and post launch phases
• Be familiar with ISO 13485 requirements for the entire design and development process and file management
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior mechanical engineers.
• Acquire and enhance a technical understanding of Cytek cytometers and develop skills to analyze and troubleshoot the optical sub-systems as well as Cytek Cytometer Systems.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus 8 years industry experience. Must also have:
• Five (5) years' experience in opto-mechanical design, transmission design for medical products, including selection of metal/non-metal material and manufacturing process
• Demonstrated proficiency in use of 3D mechanical modeling software SolidWorks and strong skills in drawing and tolerance analysis.
• Strong analytical and hands-on skills in building and improving prototypes
• Domestic and international travel up to 20% may be required.
