- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and design mechanical systems and components according to the project requirements.
- Identify external suppliers for material manufacturing with quality assurance.
- Conduct research and analysis to improve existing mechanical systems and components.
- Prepare related technical documents, operation instructions, etc. for transferring the new design to production.
- Provide technical support during verification, production, and post launch phases
- Be familiar with ISO 13485 requirements for the entire design and development process and file management
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior mechanical engineers.
- Acquire and enhance a technical understanding of Cytek cytometers and develop skills to analyze and troubleshoot the optical sub-systems as well as Cytek Cytometer Systems.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus 8 years industry experience. Must also have:
- Five (5) years' experience in opto-mechanical design, transmission design for medical products, including selection of metal/non-metal material and manufacturing process
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of 3D mechanical modeling software SolidWorks and strong skills in drawing and tolerance analysis.
- Strong analytical and hands-on skills in building and improving prototypes
- Domestic and international travel up to 20% may be required.
