Performs on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment modifications and installations of equipment ranging from low to high complexity, serving both national and international customers. Maintains equipment documentation related to internal assembly, testing, setup, and troubleshooting. Delivers start-up services and customer training during installations.
Responsibilities
- Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, overhauls, or refurbishes standard equipment and system components at customer locations. Sr. level candidates will also handle special purpose equipment.
- Provides after-sales technical support and machine maintenance training to customers
- Completes documentation related to machine issues, repairs, and/or installations to support timely billing
- Communicates with customers to schedule installations, repairs, and/or preventive maintenance work, and provides estimated arrival times for unscheduled service requests
- Responds to routine customer and sales inquiries regarding equipment operation and performance

Qualifications
- 2+ years of direct work experience (3+ years of direct work experience Sr. level or 0+ years of direct work experience Associate level)
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in Engineering or related field, other combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Responds promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve service
- Continuously pursues training and development opportunities (Sr. level candidates will also have an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry, latest technologies, and company product lines)
- Observes safety and security procedures
- Frequent travel – 25-50% domestic and occasionally international
- The ability to lift 75 lbs., frequently bending and lifting safely
