Adult Day Program Duties: Supervises and coordinates activities of the program staff. Prepares work schedules and expedites work flow. Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Keep the physician(s) informed of both progress and potential problems. Responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery and quality outcomes. Responsible for regulatory compliance. Monitors billing, collections, insurance payments, accounts payable. The Director works in a community care setting, interacting regularly with clients, families, and staff. Transportation Program Duties: Transport Director will supervise staff to facilitate emergency and non-emergency transfers for patients entering and within the HAMC system. They will play a lead role in the establishment and maintenance NET service, including regulatory, billing, compliance, securing and training of transport staff. The supervisor will be expected to achieve operating results through strategic thinking, building relationships, develop people and motivating teams while ensuring cost effectiveness, quality, customer directed care and services to the patients and customers of Miller County Hospital. The supervisor will develop an effective plan for delivery of care within the assigned area of responsibility and will facilitate healthcare expansion. Responds to patient and family concerns or complaints with sensitivity and compassion and in a timely fashion. Conducts monthly meetings with the transport staff to address equipment, scheduling, goals and objectives and any staff concerns. Promotes level of professionalism in the department. Promotes empowerment of the staff by utilizing collaborative approaches and encouraging new ideas. Creates and maintains a supportive working environment for all staff. Educates staff in new and existing department procedures and systems. Participates as a member of healthcare with various interdisciplinary committees to improve patient care and meet patient needs.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
· Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and termination of staff.

· Assists with the completion of regular performance evaluations for each staff member; conducts evaluations for new staff prior to completion of probationary period.

· Assists with the monitoring of patients scheduling, referrals for HMOs.
· Assists with responsibility of safety and comfort of patients, and the health and safety of staff.
· Collaborates with ancillary support services to provide a safe, clean and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
· Responsible for resolving patient complaints.
· Ability to coordinate and direct the patient accounting function in order to consistently produce accurate bills which are paid in a timely manner.
· Monitors activities continually with collection agencies, insurance companies, patients and physicians; recommends corrective action as appropriate.
· Develops justifies and maintains a fiscal plan (budget) for the office/clinic. Monitors patient revenues, expenses and operating expenses (salaries and capital expense items) and provides appropriate reports to the Administrator/Physician.
· Maintains a current awareness of third-party reimbursement regulations.
· Monitors utilization of equipment and supplies; orders supplies as needed.
· Effectively maintains all required records and demonstrates good organizational skills.
· Plans and conducts staff meetings.
· Works with the medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.
· Participates in performance improvement, including utilization and promotion of familiarization with performance improvement standards and programs.
· Assumes the role of patient advocate respecting guidelines found in the Patient Bill of Rights.
· Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and developmental needs; attend meetings, workshops to enrich personal knowledge, growth and management skills.
· Serves as research to others.

· Works to coordinate scheduling of ambulance and non-emergent transportation for our patients/residents.

Requirements:EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred· Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.· Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, third party payors.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience in a healthcare or social services setting, preferably with experience in adult day care or similar programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and manage multiple tasks effectively.
